DEPUTY SHERIFF BADDIES

There are good cops. There are bad cops. There are cops who can't tell a peach from a pineapple. These are a few of the comments we got:
Told us we had to make a citizen’s arrest to get anything done;
We requested a citizen's arrest - they arrested him and sat him in the cruiser - he threatened suicide - they let him go.
We requested a citizen's arrest - they refused to do anything - “We don’t want to make him mad";
Told us we did not have “an arrestable restraining order"; (a lie)
Outright refused to file a report when there was a clear violation;
Said “one of you will have to spill blood before we can do anything"; (a lie)
(Crime Report #s 010024855, 010019991, 010011139, and 010009212; 3/31/2001 and 6/3/2001)
Predator threatened Karl (a teacher) with a "Columbine Shooting"; we told the Deputy D.A.; he told us not to report it; we reported it to the Sheriff; and they said, "It doesn't sound like a threat to me."
Neither the City, the County nor the School District wanted to do anything. They did not want to make Fresno look bad.

DEPUTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY BADDIES

Deputy D.A. says to call him right away if Predator does anything and he will throw him into jail for 90 days. I asked, "What kinds of things?" D.A. - "If he pulls a knife or gun on you."
Therefore, the D.A. is not supporting the Injunction that orders Predator to not contact, communicate, disturb the peace, threaten, have others follow, etcetera - us at any time.
The first Deputy D.A. assigned to our case was very supportive. He knew Predator and understood the hell we were going through. He is transferred to Juvenile section and we get new Deputy D.A. He was a Baddy.
With the charges already filed against Predator by the first Deputy D.A., this D.A. wants to dismiss - He does not want to "burn a jury" on the case.
Doesn't want to bring charges against Predator - "It might make him mad.";
Deputy D.A. tells us, "I am NOT going to throw him into jail. (Predator) simply has to control himself."
With absolutely no trust remaining in the Deputy D.A., we hired an attorney to make sure WE did not get jailed.
The Deputy D.A. told our attorney, "When (Karl and Susan) hired you, they did the equivalent of everything (Predator) has done to them."
Another comment to our attorney, “The only difference between the (Karl and Susan) and (Predator) is (Karl and Susan) document better.”
Since Predator did not own a portion of the home, he could have been forced to live elsewhere. Predator tells Deputy D.A. that he is buying half of the house (a lie). Deputy D.A. tells us, "I will not be a party to forcing (Predator) out of his home."
He says, "(Karl and Susan) are equally responsible for this." (There has been no trial and no hearing, so where does he get that idea?
He told our attorney, "(Susan and Karl) are just as bad as (Predator)."
The Deputy D.A. said to us 3 different times, "I prefer homicides to neighbor problems." (What do you suppose that meant?)
While speaking with Deputy D.A. he says he has to go, "I have a homicide case right now that resulted from exactly what you are doing right now."

Notes to Yourself

A predatory neighbor from hell loves to tear down and destroy. You have to fight back by keeping upbeat messages on your refrigerator, bathroom mirror, in front of your exercise machine, wherever. My husband drew a picture (stick figures) of the neighbors moving out in a moving van. I wrote simple signs - "I am a force for good," "Evil will consume itself," and other positive statements. Within six months, our neighbors moved out and I attribute at least some of that to our positive affirmations. Hang in there, stick together and think positive.

WHY DID HE DO THIS TO US?

With a Predator / Sociopath, you do not have to do anything wrong. You just have to have something they want. You then become a Target.
1) He wanted us out of the neighborhood;
2) He wanted our 2 acres with a house and barn sheltered by a grove of trees;
3) Barns are good for people interested in a career in freelance pharmacology;
4) He did not want to pay for our property:
5) He wanted it for free;
6) He used threats and harassment to emotionally extort our property from us;
7) It did not work. 8 years later we are still here. He still stalks and spreads vicious slander.

WHAT HE DID WHEN HE LIVED NEXT DOOR...

Threatens: death, rape, arson, poison our dogs.
Shoots at Karl with a pellet rifle and says, “I’ll use a bigger gun when I take you out”.
Loud rifle shots from rear of Predator property late nites/early mornings.
Threatens Karl (a teacher) with a “Columbine shooting”.
Hurls rocks and broken glass at us and our property with a slingshot.
Expresses racial hatred - “All white people are bad”; “white trash”; “Someday all white people will be gone.”
Plays loud music through speakers set at our fence and aimed at our house.
Constantly provokes us with name-calling: pedophiles, child molesters, gays, homos, queers, prostitutes, and KKK-style racists.
Convinces new neighbors that we are perverts; gets them to harrass us.
Shines spotlights and floodlights on our house late at night.
Uses a truck mirror to reflect sunlight on us when we sit outside.
Charges at us with his truck as we walk to another neighbor’s house.
Uses his truck to stop us from driving down our street.
Licks his lips slowly, grabs himself, etc. in front of Sue.
Stalks along the fence line, when we work outside.
Rushes from his house to the street to bare his teeth as we drive by.
Drives or cycles past slowly while looking over our property.
Trains his 4 dogs to bark and lunge at fence when we are visible.
Ties up dogs to make them bark all night.
Frequently surveils our property with binoculars.
Trains his 2 young sons to watch and report our movements.
Brings his sons to the fence when we are outside and tells them what child molesters do to children while pointing at us.
Uses camera with telephoto lens to photographs us and our house, especially if the windows are open.

WHAT WE DID WHEN HE LIVED NEXT DOOR...

Endured first few months in silence
Tried calmly talking with him (2 months)
Audiotaped him
Videotaped him
I tried yelling at him (4 months); I couldn't help it - he was THREATENING US!
After 18 months, got Injunction Against Harrassment against him.
October 2000 forward - did not communicate with him again, but he never backed off.
Called Sheriff when he violated Injunction.
Called Sheriff and asked them to send reports to D.A.
Called D.A. and asked them to file charges
Did all the required paperwork for court
Admitted evidence to the court
Kept a journal
After 3 years - depression, tremors, panic attacks
3 doctors diagnosed post traumatic stress disorder
