Why Don't You Just Move?

Moving away from a predator is a lot harder for some people. Financial situations, in particular, make it difficult. In our case, our place needed a lot of work just to get it into selling order. Painting our two-story needed scaffolding and with our predator's penchant for shooting and using a wrist-rocket, we would be in peril of being shot and falling. No thanks. We didn't have much choice but to hope the cops and the courts would do their job.

Sue, that's what people have thought but never directly said to us "why don't u move". This is exactly what our NFH wants us to do,move. She's jealous of the house we built and is tormenting us in the hopes we'll move. It doesn't make the house go away it just is her way of punishing us. furthermore, she's a member of a cult that preaches what she's doing.sickos everywhere

In this economy ppl who say "just move" are a HUGE part of the problem. Some NFH are nothing short of terroristic. The geezer next door - a Baptist "minister" - whose wife is on FB priding herself on being a Christian :(1) encouraged big dog to lift leg and pee straight at me (2) leaves open garbage cans pushed up to my property to collect water and create mosquito infestation (3) constantly peeks into my yard to get glimpses of me as he (from the motions and his leers) jerks off at his kitchen counter. His wife threatened to chop my trees down with an axe as she just doesn't like them. Nothing worse than a terrorist neighbor than the ones hiding behind religion.

Neighbors Feel Trapped on Private Road Inside Springfield City Limits

By my local News Reporters

A handful of Springfield neighbors say even though they pay city taxes, one man makes sure City Utilities and rescue crews can't reach them. One city official is worried about the situation on a private road in the 2800 block of east Grand. The private road is the only way five homeowners can get in and out of the homes they own. For 10 years, neighbors say most who move there are harrassed by the man who claims to own the road.

Ms. Wright moved into her home on east Grand in 2007. She immediately had a unique parking problem. "He doesn't want me to park in my own driveway," Wright says. Her neighbor, Mr NFH, is suing her and the home's previous owner. "He thinks the easement starts here," Wright says as she points to the end of her paved driveway. She says she’s parking on her property.

In Mr. NFH filed a lawsuit against Wright. In the suit he says he bought the private road for one dollar. Mr. NFH is asking for a judge to rule no one can park in the drive way or improve the road because it disrupts his ability to enjoy his road and easement. "I feel like I have no rights in this community," Wright says.

Wright has documented the situation and spent thousands on legal fees. She says she wishes her title company would have told her about the suit before she moved in. She worries she can't sell. "I wouldn't want to do what was done to me. It’s not right," Wright says.

Wright's lawsuit is just the tip of the paperwork iceberg. Since 2002, neighbors have called police there 23 times. "Our hands are often tied because it’s something done to irritate someone and not necessarily a crime," Springfield Police Department Major Kevin Routh says. "Usually there are no witnesses; no one can prove who committed the crime." It is a back and forth neighbors worry is a powder keg. "The harrassment and intimidation is beyond belief," Another Neighbor Mr. Weister says. He moved in about four months ago and already wants to sell.

KSPR stopped by Mr. NFH's home. He did not want to comment and called police on our crew. Mr. NFH also instructed his attorney not to comment on his side of the story. Neighbors say Mr. NFH and his children drive through yards, point video cameras at their homes and make threats. They say NFH won't allow commercial vehicles on the road, even running off City Utilities, UPS and rescue crews. "I just want it to end. We need the city's help," Weister says. "This isn't just one or two people in danger. It's a whole community."

Counselwoman Rushefsky is meeting with other city leaders to see what--if anything--can legally be done. "It's troubling something needs to be done, but the question is what," Rushefsky says. Neighbors say a decade is long enough. They say they want their private road and private nightmare public.

NFH is on probation for disturbing the peace and tampering with the previous owner of Wright's home. In that case, he was placed on one year probation per a written agreement. KSPR checked the court document to find the terms of the agreement, but it was not in the file. KSPR called the judge in the case. We are waiting to find out where the document may be to see if any of the 23 police calls violate the terms of the probation.

Online court records since 1996, seven people have filed protection orders against NFH, including Wright. All but three of the protection orders were dismissed Wright says once she filed her protection order NFH’s ex wife (who lives with him)filed one against her. She questions if the threat of a counter protection order caused others to dismiss. The civil lawsuit involving the driveway and easement is still pending. Wright says two years into the litigation she is waiting to do a deposition with NFH’s attorney.

We have a neighbor who has been using weed killer on our trees, plants, house and car. He gets up early in the morning to spray and hides on his balcony while he is doing it in the front yard. Our security cameras can't show much of his yard because it becomes voyerism. They even sprayed the weed killer in the house when I wasn't home. Horrible smell that made me gag reeked in the dining room where I had left the window open. They have called Bylaw to complain about us so many times that they started ignoring their calls. They have also called bylaw about the neighbors on the other side of his house several times and has harrassed that poor woman relentlesly. We have dogs and we are concerned for their safety as well.

Sue,

Have you ever thought of getting a writ of mandamus against the DA and sherif, forcing them to enforce the court order? OR suing the DA and the Sherriff and their wives in their personal capacity, as they are paid to do a job they are not doing, thus receiving their wages under false pretenses by not enforcing the stipulations of the court order? (Charlie Sprinkle sued then governor Reagan and Nancy for failure to protect his rights, and was given free run of the road with no Driver's license, license plates, and without consideration of speed limit if only he'd drop his suit, 90 miles an hour later Charlie was enjoying the road; perhaps you could do the same.)

Hoke County is no help to me on this same matter.

That is what is wrong with the world today all of those people that say "why don't you just move" "why don't you just get out of their way" "why do you worry about the little stuff" Well why should you move when you have bought your home and you have just as much rights as the white trash drug dealers that are ruining our neighborhoods everywhere. I'm am so tired of people not thinking that you should fight for your own rights. I'll fight until I get the drug dealers across the street from me arrested or moved out.
